Give Someone Their Home Back

Some of the best calls we take come from somebody paying for a person who would never spend the money on themselves.

Who Does This
Adult children for a parent whose house quietly got ahead of them. Siblings splitting the cost for a widowed mother. A neighbor for someone who just lost their husband. Parishes and congregations for a member nobody realized was struggling until somebody finally saw inside the house.
There is something else worth naming. A person who cannot accept help will sometimes accept a gift. That is not a small distinction, and it is often what finally moves a situation that has been stuck for years.

How It Works
Call and tell us what you would like to cover. Any amount works, whether that is a whole cleanout, one room, or a contribution toward something larger.
The certificate goes out however suits you, printed or by email, and it does not expire. The person calls when they are ready and nobody chases them in the meantime.
If you would prefer they never see a figure, we handle it that way. Many families would rather the person simply hears that it is covered, and that is easily done.
What It Covers
A full hoarding cleanout, a single room, an estate cleanout after a death, deep cleaning, biohazard work, or ongoing maintenance cleaning to help somebody stay on top of things afterward.
Said Gently, Because It Matters
If the person does not know this is coming, think about how it will land before you arrange it.
A gift certificate for house cleaning can be heard as an act of love. It can also be heard as a judgement on the state of the place. Identical certificate, completely different afternoon, and the difference is nearly always in how it is raised rather than in the gift.
We have watched this go both ways many times and we are happy to talk it through. Call and ask. Nobody is charged for that conversation.
For Parishes, Congregations And Organizations
We work with churches, service clubs and community organizations helping a member discreetly. We can invoice the organization directly and keep the recipient’s name out of any minutes, newsletter or bulletin.
Confidentiality works the same way it always does, and it protects the people who paid as much as the person who was helped.
